As soon as you visit our website, the information listed in section 3 'Access data' is stored in server log files on the web server until it is automatically deleted.

Registration for website users
Website visitors can receive an invitation to register on our website from their accompanied guiding health professionals (e.g. GPs, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists) in order to provide help with mild forms of depression, including mild to moderate as well as sub-threshold depression.
We use the data entered for this purpose exclusively for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The following data are required for registration:

The data entered during registration will be processed based on of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data collected during registration will be stored by us for as long as you are registered on our website and will be deleted thereafter.
Project-specific questionnaires
Studies resulting from EU-funded projects have highlighted the effectiveness of the iFightDepression® Tool in enhancing mental health support, improving care, and promoting recovery. To gain more knowledge and to improve iFightDepression®, it is very likely that this programme will be part of more future EU-funded projects. Participants of these studies may be ask to complete additional questionnaires. Information on project-related data processing is provided separately in the participation information for each study.
Mood questionnaire
This questionnaire measures symptoms of depression and checks if you are showing any of the main signs or symptoms for depression. The results can be indicative, but they do not mean that you have a diagnosis for depression. Only your doctor or other health professional can confirm a diagnosis, but the results can be a useful way to start a discussion. You will be asked to answer the questions once a week to monitor your mood. The answers entered in the questionnaire will be saved and linked to your account in pseudonymized form.
The data may be scientifically analysed by the research team of EAAD and partners with the aim to gain more knowledge and to improve iFightDepression®. In this regard, it is possible that the results as a whole, without reference to your personal data as an individual, will be published in scientific peer-reviewed journals, using quotations.
Self-test

Optionally, additional details such as age and gender can be provided to give us further information for research purposes.
This means that this data is not subject to the German Federal Data Protection Act.
Feedback form
When you send us text via the feedback form, we only store the information you provide in the form for processing the feedback, without any reference to your account. This process is completely anonymous and there is no way to identify you as the sender in case of follow-up questions.

Worksheet data
Each workshop includes a corresponding worksheet so that the skills learned can be practiced. The required data, such as
time,
description of activities,

3. Analysis Tools
Access data
Our website automatically collects data about access to the website based on our legitimate interests (cf. Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and store this data as 'server log files' on the web server. The following data is logged:
Date and time of access,
Client IP address (anonymized),
Domain to which the request was made,
HTTP method and protocol,
HTTP status code of the response,
Amount of data sent (in bytes),
Referrer URL,
User agent,
Authentication data, if protected areas are used via HTTP authentication.
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The server log files are stored for a maximum of one month and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to investigate cases of misuse. If data must be as evidence, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.
Matomo
We use the open-source web analytics tool Matomo, provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769, to analyse user behaviour and improve our website. Matomo is hosted on our own web server and no data is shared with third parties.
To protect your privacy, we have configured Matomo to operate in cookieless mode. This means:
No tracking cookies are stored on your device.
Matomo uses anonymized data to generate statistics.
Your IP address is anonymized before being stored.
No personal data is collected or processed that could identify you.
The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in optimizing our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since no cookies are used and no personal data is stored, no explicit consent is required.
As part of the agreement on order data processing that we as website operators have concluded with Matomo, the software used, creates an evaluation of website usage and website activity using the information collected (such as location, access date, browser information) and provides services related to internet usage.
The data collected by Matomo on our behalf is used to evaluate the use of our online offering by individual users, for example to create reports on activity on the website in order to improve our online offering.

Scientific Research
Some of the entered data can be analysed and evaluated with the aim of optimising the tool for future use and to gain further scientific insight about the use of online programs such as iFightDepression®. It is in our interest to
get an idea about completion and drop-out rates;
obtain an idea whether the tool works well to reduce depressive symptoms as reported by you;
find out how this relates to how you used the tool.
Additionally, your data from the mood questionnaire and the worksheets can be analysed to answer scientific research questions about the program’s use. This analysis is completely pseudonymized.
Data can be safely transferred between partner organisations and project partners engaged in evaluation tasks. All participating project centres are subject to data protection laws and instructed to manage and work on the data in the most sensitive manner possible.
Anonymised excerpts of data entered may be used for (scientific) publications about the iFightDepression® Tool and / or in the process of disseminating information about it.
4. Plugins and Tools
CookieFirst
We use the consent management platform CookieFirst, provided by Digital Data Solutions B.V., Plantage Middenlaan 42a, 1018 DH Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to manage cookie preferences and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
